Hopefully, this book will make the reader wonder what he or she would do when faced with problems they can't do anything about except to guess their adversaries' next move, if it comes at all. Their preparations just might be an excercise in futility and the country and wildlife around them aren't helping matters any.
Remember the ram horns you see in this picture! This is the animal the Shoshone band was named after because this was a major source of meat -- not the domestic little sheep that you count at night to fall asleep. You will learn more in the book.
Meanwhile, I'll be looking over possibilities for new stories. I'm still toying with the idea of making one of my characters anti-social with a chip on his or her shoulder. That might be fun!
